A little about me

My leather work started in 1985 when a father of a friend made me my first leather wallet. I sat and watched for hours while he turned this flat piece of leather into the beautiful wallet with a carved black bass on the front.

When it was finished, he handed me my first piece of leather, his mallet, his tools and his knowledge and I made my first knife sheath. While not an elegant piece, it was functional, and most of all, it was made by MY hand.

Since that time, I have made many leather products, improving each time I put tool to leather. Only doing leather work part time, my skills didn't improve as fast as I would like. About three months ago, I decided to put more effort into it at the request of a friend. So, Night Owl Leather was born.

Since that time, I have been back logged about 4 weeks out, showing me that not only my work is appreciated, but wanted.

Along with making new pieces, I also do repair of leather goods. From tack to holsters to purses. If a seam has come un-stitched, or a rivet has come updone, or some leather needs restoring, I can probably do it. Growing up on a ranch gave me a chance to do tack repair and I have since only gotten better. So, whether the leather product is mine or not, give me a holler and we will see what we can do to get that leather product back to working order!

I also wanted to mention that all of MY products have a lifetime warranty on all workmanship and defects in material. This means that if you buy something from me and hand it down to your kids and a seam comes undone, bring it back to me and I will fix it free of charge as long as I am still able.
